History

West Bay Christian Academy is a co-educational, independent Christian school of 172 students. WBCA has been fulfilling its mission of providing an educational program that is "distinctively Christian and academically excellent" to children in Kindergarten through 8th grade for over 25 years. The Academy first opened its doors in 1981 with 60 students in Kindergarten through 6th grade, renting classroom space from Quidnessett Baptist Church.

After more than a decade of steady growth, WBCA moved its middle school to a new building on an 11-acre campus on School Street in North Kingstown. An elementary wing was added in 2001, and in 2003 a gymnasium, fine arts room, library, and science lab were completed. In September 2004, the remainder of the Academy moved to the present School Street campus.
