Doug & Evelyn Brush Scholarship Fund
“This school was Doug’s vision and his dream, and the scholarship allows that dream to continue.” – Ken Amador, Headmaster of WBCA
In April of 2012, the West Bay community lost one of our very dear friends – Mr. Doug Brush (the last surviving founder of the Academy). Doug was a faithful supporter of West Bay. He not only helped found the Academy in 1981, he also served on the Board of Trustees up until his passing. He attended most West Bay events – including graduations, cookouts, auctions, and other celebrations – with his wife of 62 years, Evelyn. Despite a lifestyle of constantly doing for others, he never sought personal gain nor self-recognition. While we will miss him dearly, his life was a strong testimony to his faith and his memory is an inspiration to all of us.
In honor of Doug and Evelyn’s incredible commitment to West Bay, the school has created a scholarship fund in their name. Recipients of the Doug & Evelyn Brush Scholarship can receive up to 50% tuition reduction.
There are no additional requirements for the Doug & Evelyn Brush Memorial Scholarship beyond a demonstration of financial need. To apply for a scholarship, please contact Admissions for additional information.
